A little wire, a few simple tools, and some brightly colored beads are all you need to start creating your own intriguing fashion statements! In simple terms, wire wrapping is taking wire and wrapping it around itself and/or over beads and other components to create jewelry. When wrapped, curved, bent and manipulated, the wire itself can become the structure and foundation of your piece or act as a design detail. Learn which gauge (thickness) of wire is best suited for different wrapping techniques and the tools needed to create a piece of jewelry that is one of a kind.

Two classes will be held: one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Participants must call 918-338-4167 to register. When registering, please let us know which class you would prefer to attend. The class is free and supplies are provided.

Bartlesville Public Library’s FREE monthly adult craft classes allow crafters to try different media and techniques. Previous classes have included the art of modern hand lettering, sewing fabric tote bags, making bath bombs and homemade lotions, and creating beautiful burlap wreaths. Both beginners and experienced crafters are welcome to come and learn in a relaxing, fun environment.
