A free class on how to use your Kindle to check out e-books and e-audiobooks from Overdrive will be held Tuesday, April 25 in the Library’s Meeting Room C from 6 pm to 7 pm.

Overdrive is a service offered by Bartlesville Public Library that lets patrons borrow e-books, e-audiobooks, and more from their digital collection for free.

You are welcome to bring your charged and registered Kindle device to the class.

Class size is limited, so please call to register at 918-338-4169.

If you are looking for assistance in tracking your family information, experienced genealogists will be available on Saturday, April 22 from 9 to 4 in the Local and Family History Room of the Bartlesville Public Library. Volunteer genealogists will be there to guide you, whether you are beginning family research or need suggestions to further your research. It is helpful to bring the family information you already have, along with the questions or family information you need answered.
The purpose of the Bartlesville Genealogical Society is to promote and encourage the common interest of family genealogy. All genealogy assistance is a free service provided by the Society.

Come join us on Tuesday April 18th for the fourth session on healthy cooking and nutrition presented by Josh Wright. The class will be held at 6 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room of the Bartlesville Public Library.

Sign up now, at the library’s Youth Services Department, for the 8th annual LEGO Creation Contest!

The contest is free to all and participants will be divided into three age groups: Kindergarten through 4th grade, 5th grade through 8th grade, and 9th grade through adult.  First, second and third place will be awarded in each category with one overall grand prize being awarded.  Winners will receive LEGO products and ribbons.

Contestants will build their LEGO creations at home using their own LEGOs, abiding by the rules and criteria noted on the registration form.  They will then drop off their entries at the upstairs meeting room of the library on Saturday, April 29th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  The room will be closed at 11:00 am to allow judging to take place.

Public viewing will begin that same day at 1:00pm, with awards being given out  soon after.  Winning entries will be shown in the library’s lobby display cases from April 30th through May 6th.

“I hope to see lots of sign-ups for this competition,” says Laura Pryce, Youth Services librarian.  “And it would be great to have more adult competitors this year!”  To register, come by the Youth Services Desk at the Bartlesville Public Library or call 918-338-4170 for more information.

Ashley Burson, Wellness and Aquatic Specialist and Coordinator at Phillips 66, will teach a Stress and Your Health class on Thursday, April 6 from 12 pm to 1 pm in the Library’s upstairs meeting room. This is a free class and the public is invited to attend.

A free Introduction to Email Class will be held Monday, April 3 from 6 pm to 7 pm in the Library’s Meeting Room C. Topics covered will include setting up and using a free Internet-based email account, email etiquette, and security issues.

Laptops will be provided, but participants can bring their own laptop or tablet. Class size is limited. To register, please contact the Reference desk at 918-338-4169.
