The new BPL “Library of Things” Collection begins checking-out

SIGN UP NOW for the Jr. Master Gardeners Club for kids ages 8-12! Space is limited. The Washington County Master Gardeners will be facilitating this Jr. Gardeners Club. The flower bed right outside the window in the Youth Services department will be cultivated and planted by this group. They will meet on four different Saturday mornings (June 9&23, July 7&21). To participate, you MUST pre-register by calling 918-338-4170. We can accept a maximum of 15 participants and they must be willing and able to commit to attending all or most of the four sessions.

Mark Your Calendars! The Bartlesville Public Library and Literacy Services will host a Master Gardener program at 7 p.m. on June 7.
Trained and certified Washington County Master Gardeners will give a classroom presentation on essential information for healthy soil in the Library’s Meeting Room A, located at 600 S. Johnstone Ave. The focus of the class will be the preparation of soil before planting and its importance for healthy plants.
We will then tour the library flower beds and discuss the various plants used. The Master Gardeners will
demonstrate the sowing of seeds in the gardens and talk about proper planting tips.
We will see you back on Monday June 11th, 2018!

Norma Seabolt, Citizenship/Immigration/ESL Assistant with the Bartlesville Public Library Literacy Services Department, enseñara la clase de correo electronico en español. Cubriremos cómo crear una cuenta de correo electrónico gratis en Internet; cómo escribir, enviar, responder y reenviar correos electrónicos, etc.
Laptops estarán disponibles para su uso pero los participantes pueden traer sus propias computadoras portátiles si asi lo desean.

This free class will cover how to set-up a free Internet-based email account; how to write, send, reply and forward email; and email etiquette and security issues.
This class will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Library’s meeting room C on Thursday, May 17.
Laptops will be available, but you may bring your own laptop or tablet if you wish to do so.
