Wire Wrapped Jewelry
November 16 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFree
Bartlesville Public Library’s free monthly adult craft classes allow crafters to try different media and techniques. Previous classes have included the art of modern hand lettering, sewing tote bags, and making bath bombs, wreaths and jewelry. Both beginners and experienced crafters are welcome to come and learn in a relaxed and fun environment.
A little wire, a few simple tools, and some brightly colored beads are all you need to start creating your own intriguing fashion statements! In simple terms, wire wrapping is taking wire and wrapping it around itself and/or beads and other components to create jewelry. When wrapped, curved, bent and manipulated, the wire itself can become the structure and foundation of your piece or act as a design detail. Learn which gauge (thickness) of wire is best suited for different wrapping techniques and the tools needed to create a piece of jewelry that is one of a kind. Materials provided.
This class is offered twice, from 2 pm – 4 pm, and repeated again at 6 pm – 8 pm and will take place in Meeting Room C.
Registration is required as class size is limited. To register call the Local and Family History desk at 918-338-4167.
