Renew your Items: Go to the library catalog at http://horizon.bartlesville.lib.ok.us, Click on the "My Account" tab on the top. Enter your 10-digit library card number in the top box. Enter the last four digits of your phone number in the second box. Click Login. Click on "All Items Out." Click on the box next to each item you want to renew -or-click the top box in the red stripe (next to the word Title) to renew all. Click the renew button.

Search for Library Materials: The library catalog is available 24 hours a day! Search for what you want at http://horizon.bartlesville.lib.ok.us

Place holds on Library Materials: Holds can only be placed on items that are currently checked out. When the item is returned, you will receive a notice to that effect from the library, and you can come in and pick up the item at the circulation desk. Go to the library catalog at http://horizon.bartlesville.lib.ok.us. Click on the "My Account" tab on the top. Enter your 10-digit library card number in the top box. Enter the last four digits of your phone number in the second box. Click Login. Search for the item you wish to hold. Click on the title of the item to get to the holdings screen. Below the information about the title, on the right side of the screen is a button that says "Request Item." Click that button. On the next screen, click the "Request" button at the bottom of the square.

Create a Book List: Go to the library catalog at http://horizon.bartlesville.lib.ok.us. Click on the "My Account" tab on the top. Enter your 10-digit library card number in the top box. Enter the last four digits of your phone number in the second box. Click Login. Search for the item you wish to add to your book list. Click the "Add to My List" button. You can view your complete list by clicking on the "My List" link on the top right corner of the screen.

Search for Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise News Articles: We maintain an index to articles in the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise. To search the index, go to http://horizon.bartlesville.lib.ok.us:81/ipac20/ipac.jsp?profile=main#focus. The actual articles can be found on microfiche in the Local and Family History Department of the Library.

Library Notifications via Email: The Library can send your overdue and hold notices to you via email if you wish. Sign up with this form.

Search BPL using Bookmarklets: According to Wikipedia: "A bookmarklet is a small JavaScript program that can be stored as a URL within a bookmark in most popular web browsers, or within hyperlinks on a web page. We made some bookmarklets for easily searching our library catalog. Right click on the links below and add them to your favorites. In Firefox, you can just drag the links to your toolbar. The BPL Title search lets you highlight a book title on any website, click the bookmarklet, and it will execute a search for that title in our library catalog. ISBN and General Keyword search work the same way.

Online Databases:

Use your library card to access a wealth of information and ebooks! If you don't have a Bartlesville Public Library card, you can get a temporary barcode to use to access our databases by clicking here, clicking on the "New User" button, and filling out the form. Your temporary barcode will work for 7 days.

If you have trouble accessing the databases, you will need to turn off Windows Firewall on your computer. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel. Depending on how control panel is set up, click on Windows Firewall, or click on Network and Internet Connections, then on Windows Firewall. The firewall needs to be set to OFF in order for the databases to work.

: The Oklahoman Archives contain over 2.2 million pages in 37,000 issues spanning September 25, 1901, to present. Issues prior to September 2001 are converted microfilm. More recent issues are full-color. The contents of all issues are fully text searchable and reflect the full context and layout of each page.

HeritageQuest: Search census records, historical records, family history books, and articles on a variety of genealogical topics.
