August 14, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

In anticipation of the upcoming solar eclipse, the Bartlesville Public Library is offering two fun and educational free programs for all ages.

On Monday, August 14th at 10:00, Richard Kowalczyk of the Bartlesville Astronomical Society will explain exactly what an eclipse is, demonstrate how it works, and talk about safe eclipse viewing. Eclipse glasses will be available for all attending. The Bartlesville Astronomical Society meets monthly to share experiences, exchange information and learn about the fascinating and ever changing world of astronomy.  Members conduct public star parties (observing sessions), providing the opportunity for everyone to see the celestial wonders of the night sky through telescopes and binoculars.  The Society is open to anyone with an interest in astronomy and a desire to learn.
