On Wednesday, Oct. 17, the Library will offer a free class to demonstrate how to search on Overdrive’s website and how to check out and download e-books and audiobooks. Overdrive is a service offered by the Library that lets you borrow e-books and audiobooks for free. You are welcome to bring your charged and registered tablets and e-readers to class. The class will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Library’s meeting room C.

Registration is appreciated but not required. To register, or for more information, please contact the Reference desk at 918-338-4169.

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, the Library will offer a free class that will cover the basics of navigating the Internet,  including how to effectively use web browsers and search engines. Laptops will be available for you to use, or you can bring your own laptop or tablet. The class will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Library’s meeting room C.

Registration is appreciated, but not required. To register, or for more information, please call the Reference desk at 918-338-4169.

On Thursday, Sept. 13, instructor Nadine Hawke will teach an Introduction to the Computer class. Since this free class is for the absolute beginner, she will cover the basics of the computer including exploring the computer’s desktop and using the keyboard and the mouse. Laptops will be available for participants to use. The class will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Library’s meeting room C.

Resources include e-books, audiobooks, authoritative reference material for research papers, health information, small business plans, investment reports, tutoring in schoolwork, coaching for job interviews, family history, arts and crafts ideas, legal help, home improvement resources, and much more. This class will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Library’s meeting room C.

This class will be held on Wednesday, July 18 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Library’s Meeting Room C.

Norma Seabolt, Citizenship/Immigration/ESL Assistant with the Bartlesville Public Library Literacy Services Department, enseñara Microsoft Word en español. Esta clase cubrirá cómo escribir, formatear, guarder e imprimir un documento en Microsoft Word.

Laptops estarán disponibles para su uso pero los participantes pueden traer sus propias computadoras portátiles si así lo desean.
